IG index are now the first spread betting firm to offer traders access to technical analysis with interactive pattern recognition technology. Many spread bettors use technical analysis to trade the markets, this new software on offer by the IG index will make it easier for punters identify current and emerging trends on all IG index markets.

The software is provided by Autochartist a tool developed to take the guess work out of recognising patterns. Autochartist scans through thousands of financial instruments and automatically identifies chart patterns including Head and- Shoulders, Wedges, Triangles, Rectangles and Channels. The software analyzes both end-of-day and intraday equity and foreign exchange markets.
